An Update from the Boonies


Hello Followers,
It has been awhile since anything has happened with S.J. Photography and I feel quite terrible about this. Things were really picking up for us until my husband and I moved to the small town of Maryfield, Saskatchewan. Since our move in January, we have talked to multiple internet companies about getting internet to our house. Unfortunately, our house is located on the bottom of a hill (not that you can tell by looking at it) so any internet signal has to shoot at an angle over all the much higher trees and other obstacles.
Long story short... we have no internet and no hope for internet for quite some time. Apparently our town does not even have the option for satellite internet. Go figure!
On a good note, however, I did get a new phone in which I have nearly unlimited data (soon to be completely unlimited). This lovely little phone is basically like a super computer with tethering abilities *happy dance*. It is a fairly slow process but I am finally able to upload some pictures! I am honestly nearly in tears I am so happy about this! Tonight I was FINALLY able to get my lovely sister and her husband up on the blog. Tomorrow's goal... maternity photos. Please check out Amie and Drew's photos and send them some love.

*** For whatever reason, this never posted when I originally created it, but I still wanted to share it as I loved these photos, I loved this experience, and I love this couple! What can I say about them?  They are one of the cutest couples I know - and I have known both of them for over two decades. I was so blessed to be their photographer.  Flying down to Mexico and spending the week with them and their closest friends and family was an added bonus!  The entire week was magical and our little party had an insane amount of fun.  The wedding day itself was a balmy 40 degrees with full sun!  None of us were complaining though. ***

B's Cake Smash

This absolutely adorable, little man turned one today! Happy Birthday Brayden Colt!! He was extremely unsure about his cake and what he was expected to do with it, as you will see by his photos. Miss P's Maternity

I met Phoebe and her beautiful daughter at a recent Kids Play and Entertainment Show hosted by Trinity Events Winnipeg.   If you have not yet attended one of their events, I highly recommend it! They are an absolute blast! I digress... Phoebe was looking for maternity photos that included her husband and daughter.  Since she is due any day now, she needed them done as soon as possible! Thankfully I had one Sunday afternoon available and was able to meet them at the gorgeous Trappers Monastery in St. Norbert.   We may have gotten a little carried away... okay, I got a little carried away.   What was supposed to be a fairly short session ended up taking quite awhile, but their photos turned out so great and I am glad I did not cut the day short! -----                         We are now down to the last week before Phoebe's due date and I am so excited to me
